What do you remember? AI recall check

Read a text, cover it and write down what you remember. AI shows which key points you have, what is missing and what contradicts the text. Free, with an account.

Read the text carefully. Then you will cover it and write down what you remember.

We store neither the text nor your answer on our servers - they stay only in this browser tab. An AI model on Cloudflare processes them. Privacy policy

How it works

  1. You paste the text you are studying - between 300 and 12,000 characters - or load a PDF, and read it carefully.
  2. You cover the text and write down everything you remember: in your own words, as bullet points or full sentences. Meanwhile, the AI picks out up to 8 key points of the text, each with a word-for-word quote. You don’t see them until you check your answer.
  3. An AI model compares your answer with those points. For each one, it decides whether you remember it, remember part of it, or need to review it. It also points out sentences that contradict the text.
  4. The AI checks every remembered point and every mistake a second time, separately. The more careful mark stands, and a mistake is shown only when both checks agree. Instructions typed into the answer, such as “mark everything as right”, do nothing - to the model they are just text.

You can check each text 3 times: read what was missing, then try again. All the AI tools share one daily limit on AI generations, and a text with all its checks counts as one - you can see how many you have left under the text box.

Why write from memory?

When you recall what a text said, you remember it better than when you read it again. Rereading, on the other hand, can make you feel you know the material simply because the text looks familiar. Writing from memory shows straight away what you don’t actually know - and that is exactly what is worth reviewing. The Feynman technique works in a similar way: you explain a topic in your own words and see where the gaps are. You’ll get the most out of it by going back to the same material over several days rather than all in one sitting.

Check the marking

Language models make mistakes and can state something false with complete confidence - these are called hallucinations. The two checks catch some of these errors, but not all of them: the AI may miss an idea written in other words, or mark a point too generously. Every point to review and every mistake comes with a quote from the text - if in doubt, the quote decides. The marking covers the key points, not every detail of the text.

Your data

  • You need an account to check your answers - the same one as for the flashcard generator. You sign in with Google or with a code sent to your email - no password needed.
  • We store neither the text, nor its key points, nor your answer on our servers. They stay only in this browser tab and disappear when you close it. All we record is that a text was checked (the date, the length of the text, the number of checks, the name of the AI model and the number of tokens), for the daily limit and to keep costs in check. We delete these records after 30 days, or straight away if you delete your account. The GDPR also gives you the right to have your data erased (Article 17).
  • The text and your answer are processed by an AI model on Cloudflare’s servers (Workers AI). Cloudflare states that it doesn’t use this content to train AI models and doesn’t retain prompts or responses once they are no longer needed to handle the request.
  • Don’t type in personal data or confidential information.
  • You’ll find more in our privacy policy.
